Here’s my little bit of heaven! Only Miles, who is only a few months old, is missing! We had fun frosting sugar cookies. When we were done the clean-up was daunting BUT the crusty dried smears of icing and the sprinkles EVERYWHERE and the crumbs smashed into the chairs and on the floor did not matter. We had fun decorating cookies with frosting and sprinkles and Hudsey boy, far right, had fun licking the knife in between frosting a cookie so that I constantly had to get him a new one. Now when the cookie platter is set out they all want one of the cookies they frosted and they remember that their Mimi is fun and that she loves them and that they love her. (That’s what it is all about!)

Truer Words…
“I have noticed,” she said slowly, “that time does not really exist for mothers, with regard to their children. It does not matter greatly how old the child is – in the blink of an eye, the mother can see the child again as it was when it was born, when it learned to walk, as it was at any age – at any time, even when the child is fully grown and a parent itself.”
Voyager, Diana Gabaldon, pg 516
Read this this morning and almost started crying! (I think Christmas time makes me a little emotional!) I know all you mothers out there can relate! As I think about the Christ Child as a baby I can only imagine what his mother felt at the moment of his birth and through the years to follow!
I found this next image when I was searching for the other two I have inserted. I have this very nativity scene on my tree. I got it at a garage sale! I love it and thought I would share it with you! (Mine is missing some of the parts but it still shares the message of the Savior’s birth.)
May this be a very merry and blessed Christmas!

That’s Just Inexplicable!
I have always been a lover of words! Big ones, small ones, unusual ones. I am thankful for the ability to speak, to listen, to comprehend words.
I was praying this morning asking God to speak to me. He spoke of His peace, beyond understanding. How can God fill us with a peace that can’t be understood or EXPLAINED! When you ask for it, it comes, sometimes it comes without asking but it is one of the greatest gifts God gives. It came to me that it is INEXPLICABLE. So in other words don’t ask me how it happens BUT I am here to testify that it does!
Many other marvels are far beyond our understanding. One such wonder is the formation of ice crystals. See below:
Something else I will never understand is “WHY?”, on the police/detective tv shows, the females all run around in tank tops under their bullet-proof vests while the males all wear their heavy duty jackets over theirs. Or why, on the morning tv talk shows, the women all wear sleeveless dresses and the men all wear ties and suit coats! Aren’t most women ALWAYS cold! And turning up the heat so that we aren’t! Sheesh! Tell me why?
December is almost half over, hopefully Christmas preparation is well underway in your home. I thought I would attach a few pictures of my doggies
and my front porch decor!
May God’s INEXPLICABLE peace fill you with the Christmas spirit of joy and love! For unto us a Savior is born!
